Why does the Center present some shows at Ovens Auditorium?
Access to Ovens Auditorium means that the Blumenthal PAC can offer you great shows at times when the Performing Arts Center is booked with other events. Ovens also has 358 more seats than the Belk Theater so when the Blumenthal PAC expects demand for a show to exceed the capacity of the Performing Arts Center, the show is scheduled at Ovens, allowing more guests to enjoy the production. Having Ovens Auditorium as an option lets the Blumenthal PAC bring more shows to Charlotte for you!

I was a few minutes late to a show and had to wait to be seated, why?
Each production has its own policies, predicated upon the natural breaks in the show to ensure safety, and courtesy to other patrons. As a rule of thumb, please try to arrive to the show 30 minutes before curtain time -- it's a great opportunity to enjoy a beverage, read your playbill or meet your neighbors!

Can I bring food and drinks into the theater?
Please check with the ushers and greeters in each theater. They will know which shows allow food in the theater.

Do I have to dress up to come to the Blumenthal PAC ?
The Blumenthal PAC requires the basics (shirt, shoes, etc.) but beyond that, come as you like and be comfortable! Casual dress is fine, so is your Sunday best. The key is to enjoy the show!

What is the Center’s policy about inclement weather?
Each production is contractually entitled to the ticket revenues from their performances so long as the actors are on stage and able to perform. Legal exceptions are only allowed for “Acts of God” or “regulations of public authorities,” which happens when the government steps in to close a venue during severe weather or an emergency. Otherwise, “the show must go on.”

What should I do if I can’t use my tickets?
You can exchange your tickets for another performance during the run of a show if seats are available. There is no charge for this service for subscribers. Single tickets buyers will be charged a fee of $3.50 for exchanges. The Blumenthal PAC also offers guests the option of donating their unused ticket up to 72 hours before showtime. The box office will mail you an acknowledgement letter for your tax-deductible donation to the Blumenthal PAC .

What accommodations do you provide for guests with disabilities?

Can I bring my mobile phone or pager with me into the theater?
Yes, but please remember to turn off all the devices before the show begins or place them on silent mode.

Please note: All patrons, regardless of age, are required to have a ticket for admission into the theater.
