Explore "Behind the Scenes" and see areas usually off limits, such as; a "Stars' Dressing Room" and the "Kong Doors." Learn the mystery of the "Ghost Light" and the meaning of "Break a Leg!" Free Guided Tours Walk-ups: Free walk-up tours of the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center are provided by our knowledgeable tour guides from 11am to 2pm on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month. They begin at the N. Tryon Street entrance of the Belk Theater and feature a behind the scenes look at the Belk Theater, Booth Playhouse, and Spirit Square. By Reservation: For groups of 10 or more, free-guided tours are available by reservation. Groups can choose from either a general or a technical tour. General tours offer a behind the scenes look at the Belk Theater, Booth Playhouse, and Spirit Square. Technical tours are an extension of the general tour with a special concentration on stage, lighting and sound. Group tours can be scheduled anytime between 9am and 4pm, Monday through Friday.
